Rainy Day

After four days at Green Turtle Club Resort & Marina, we left our slip to sail to a different island—just as it started to rain. We had discussed waiting until tomorrow when the weather was forecast to be better, but in the end we decided we were ready to go. We furled the main sail after sailing for an hour and motored the rest of the way to Powell Cay, 12 miles NW of Green Turtle Cay. Three days of cloudy weather had failed to charge the batteries and we wanted to top them off by running the engine. Even so, George has opted to run the portable generator to top them off even more.

Breeze On is the only boat anchored at Powell Cay. In fact, there are no other boats anywhere as far as we can see. We plan to either anchor or pick up a mooring ball the rest of our time in the Bahamas. We do not expect to return to a marina until we return to the US next Spring.
