Snorkeling

This afternoon—after George finished working on the watermaker once again—we went snorkeling. The last time we snorkeled we swam off of the back of Breeze On. Today we planned to dinghy to a different location. Before we left we decided we had better try the dinghy ladder I made. George had seen a ladder made out of wide webbing on Amazon and I happened to have some wide webbing on hand at home.  I volunteered to be the guinea pig for trying the ladder out since George’s arm is still not 100%. I found that it worked quite well.

The snorkeling was surprisingly nice. We saw quite a few fish—including the biggest angel fish we have ever seen—as well as some nice sponges and coral.

Tomorrow morning we move over to Black Point to do our laundry.

The dinghy ladder. It clips into the inside of the dinghy. The two loops hang over the edge and are used for our feet.

Using the ladder to get into the dinghy.

I made it!

This is me snorkeling with an inflatable I wear around my waist. It makes me more visible to any passing boats. The buildings you see in the background are actually two miles away.

Triggerfish.

Gray Angelfish. It was larger than it seems in the photo.

Blue Tangs.

Red Lionfish. These are invasive but good eating if you can get past the spines.
