Ragged Islands to Thompson Bay

We had a glorious day of sailing yesterday from Hog Cay to Water Cay. The anchorage at Water Cay wasn’t  too bad, but our expectations were low. Today we had to motor-sail in relatively light wind from Water Cay to Thompson Bay, Long Island. The total trip was 99.5 nautical miles.

Once we were settled we joined friends from two other boats for a mid-afternoon meal at Sou’ Side. Before leaving Breeze On we kept our eyes on storm clouds that were on the horizon. Breeze On could definitely use a bath to wash the salt off, but we didn’t want to get drenched ourselves. We are still dry and Breeze On is still salty.

George finishing up anchoring the boat as seen through the salty dodger window.

Interesting storm clouds on the horizon at sunset.
