Another Farmers Market

This morning we walked to the Brunswick Farmers Market. We were surprised to see so few vendors even though we arrived an hour after it opened. It was worth the trip, though. We stopped at one table with gorgeous vegetables grown in the garden of a very sweet woman. They were all carefully washed and beautifully displayed. I bought lettuce, asparagus, and bok choy. I could have bought more but didn’t want to fill up the refrigerator before we defrost the freezer—which we need to do soon.
After returning to a Breeze On we dropped off the vegetables and spent some time chatting with our dock mates from four different boats.  We are all heading to the Bahamas. Next we walked the length of the marina and back, stopping to chat with Eric and Cathy on Flight Risk. We saw them in Beaufort and hope to catch up with them again in the Bahamas. Once we got back to Breeze On we filled a bucket and washed all of our shoes. They had become quite stinky in the last two weeks.

This vendor was so sweet and her home-grown vegetables looked fantastic. They made me wish I had more refrigerator space.

Washing the shoes.

Now I hope they will dry on this humid day.
